Hannibal Man Arrested After Multi-County Car Chase Saturday

A multi-county car chase leads to the arrest of a Hannibal man Saturday afternoon.

According to Marion County Sheriff Jimmy Shinn, Marion and Lewis County deputies, along with Highway Patrol troopers and police from Palmyra, Canton, LaGrange and Hannibal, pursued what was believed to be a stolen vehicle from Lewis into Marion County.

The pursuit ended in the Hannibal city limits when the driver of the vehicle, identified as Alexander Robertson of Hannibal, was taken into custody.

Robertson had been released on parole from the Missouri Department of Corrections for felony possession of a controlled substance.

The incident is still under investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
