The Hannibal Arts Council will open its 2015 gallery season on Saturday, February 7 with two exhibits taking place simultaneously.

The first is Turning the Clocks Forward Again, which is the name of an anthology and and exhibition of artwork by Missouri writers and artists living with disabilities. VSA Missouri, a statewide organization promoting access to the arts for people with disabilities, coordinates this traveling exhibit, which features the artistic work of 12 professional visual artists.

The second exhibit, Achieving Recovery Through Creativity, is a program from Preferred Family Healthcare that uses visual arts, music, and creative writing as a form of healthy recreation for those striving to remain drug-free, let go of high risk behaviors and cope with difficult situations.

An opening reception for both exhibits will take place from 5 - 7 p.m. on Saturday, February 7 at the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 South Main Street.

The exhibits will be open to the public during regular gallery hours at the Hannibal Arts Council: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Wednesday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. The Hannibal Arts Council is closed Tuesdays and Sundays. In addition to regular gallery hours, other viewing options include 5 - 8 p.m. February 14 during Second Saturday Gallery Night. Turning the Clocks Forward Again and Achieving Recovery Through Creativity will be on display through February 28.
