Those who have taken the GED test in the last two years but need to retest in certain subjects…you also have a deadline …November 4th...

Brown says the new HISET test in 2014 will be similar to the GED the first year, but in subsequent years it will be computer based-- meaning computer and keyboarding skills will then be necessary to successfully complete the exam.  However, she warns-- avoid any on-line GED tests you come across--they are NOT valid.  You must test at a testing center.

Help with preparation for testing is available free of charge at several locations in Hannibal.  For more information, go to the Hannibal Career and Tech Center behind the High School from 8 until 3 p.m. weekdays, or call 573-221-4430 and ask for Helen Gilliland.
