The murder trial of a Quincy man that was to have begun next month has been put off until December.

Attorneys for 54-year-old Steven Gavin were granted a continuance Wednesday as they try to line up expert witnesses for the trial.

Gavin faces four counts of first degree murder and one count of armed robbery in connection with the November 23rd, 2015 shooting death of 48 year old Carlous Wires in Wires’ home at 706 North 4th.

Gavin’s trial was to have begun October 10th, but has now been moved to December 4th.

Gavin remains in the Adams County Jail on $5 million bond.
