The West Central Illinois Task Force served a search warrant at 924 N. 12th Street Monday evening.

The search was conducted as part of an investigation into the trafficking of methamphetamine from the state of Missouri.  Arrested during the service of the warrant was resident Richard E. Wright, age 32 and Max E. Trone, age 42.  Wright was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Trone was arrested for Methamphetamine Trafficking.

Christina S. Hyer of the residence was located a short distance from the scene and was arrested for Methamphetamine Trafficking after a traffic stop was made on her vehicle.  A passenger in Hyers vehicle, Kerri A. Kersey was arrested on an outstanding Adams County warrant for Failure to Appear on a DUI.  All four subjects were transported to the Adams County Jail and were lodged on the various charges.

Agents seized crystal methamphetamine, packaging, scales, and drug paraphernalia during the search of the home.  A child that was located in the home was turned over to the custody of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

The task force was assisted with the warrant by the Quincy Police
Department K-9 and Street Crimes Units, and the Adams County Sheriffs Office.  Agents report that the investigation is on going and additional arrests are expected in the case.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
