(BOWLING GREEN)--  A Hannibal man is sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to burglary and property damage at a Louisiana laundry mat. 21 year-old Tyler Scott Franklin will serve the sentence concurrently with one from a Marion County case.

Franklin and 17-year-old Andrew Lewis admitted to breaking into LA Laundry Mat on Highway 79 in Louisiana on February 13th.    They took money, soft drinks and snacks. Police said they were led to the suspects with the help of surveillance video and statements from local residents.

Lewis recently was sentenced to five years of probation and ordered to pay more than seven thousand dollars in restitution.

A third man, 21-year-old Zachary Todd of Hannibal, is charged with burglary and property damage in the case. He’s pleaded not guilty and is set for trial August 22nd.
