Fire in a clothes dryer this (FR) morning results in a brief evacuation of Hannibal Middle School.
Hannibal Firefighters were called at 8:24 a-m as the fire alarm went off. School district officials say the fire in the laundry area was extinguished before firefighters arrived. Fire Chief Sean Hampton says firefighters helped clear smoke from the laundry and cafeteria area. Students were back in class before 9 a-m. No injuries are reported.
