(QUINCY)—A traffic stop on Illinois 57 near RJ Peters Drive in Quincy Thursday results in two arrests.

West Central Illinois Task Force Agents say a vehicle driven by 53-year-old Patrick Lewis of Quincy was stopped for a failure to signal when required. Lewis was also arrested for driving while revoked. Task Force Agents say a K-9 unit alerted officers to the presence of narcotics. A passenger, 36-year-old Terron Cartmill of St. Louis, was taken into custody and found to have cocaine and heroin concealed inside his body. Cartmill is held in the Adams County Jail on charges of Controlled Substance Trafficking, Unlawful Possession of Cocaine with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of heroin.
