A death investigation is underway following the discovery of a body at mid afternoon Saturday in northwest Quincy.
Quincy Police say a man walking his dog called to report he found a body about 100 yards west of North Fifth and just north of the railroad tracks. A Quincy Police detective and crime scene technician and Adams County Coroner Jim Keller were called to the scene to investigate. Authorities are currently working to identify the body. Police say foul play is not suspected and they do not believe a train was involved in the incident. Police say additional information
will be released once an identification is made.
