Hannibal fire officials say a second fire at a residence early Monday morning may have been set.

Fire crews responded to a fire at 212A Beech Street at 6:45 p.m. Sunday. They left the scene about 2 a.m. Monday, but were called back to the scene about an hour later. They arrive the second time to find the home fully involved.

Chief Bill Madore at first reported the second fire as a rekindling of the first fire. But, further investigation has raised the possibility there may have been criminal activity involved in the second fire.

Officially, the second fire is still under investigation.
