The Champ Clark Bridge in Louisiana will close for inspection for four days in mid-June.

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports the bridge will be closed Monday through Thursday, June 12th through the 15th for its annual in-depth inspection.

MODOT officials say bridge crews from Jefferson City will perform the inspection of the lower part of the bridge.

MODOT also reports that the design-build contract for the new bridge at Louisiana will be awarded on June 29th. They expect construction on the new bridge to begin by the end of the year.
