Tonight brings game one of the 2013 edition of the Battle Of The Paddle between the Hannibal Cavemen and the Quincy Gems. (Listen live by clicking here!)

Former Oakland Raiders Tight End Dave Casper is the featured speaker at the Saturday night's Pirate Family Foundation Dinner and Auction in Hannibal. The dinner begins at 5 p.m. with the silent auction in Patterson Gym. An autograph session begins at 6 p.m. Dave Casper will speak at 7 p.m. followed by a live auction.

I enjoy basketball. But, there are things that annoy me. Tops on that list right now are discussions of a shot clock in high school basketball.

Never mind the snow on the ground today, Opening Day is May 28th for the 2013 Hannibal Cavemen as they visit the Danville Dans. Hannibal's home opener is Wednesday May 29th against Danville. The home schedule once again includes 30 home games including seven home games against the arch rival Quincy Gems...

(Columbia, Mo)--Congratulations are in order for two Hannibal Pirates.

Now, he's the Baltimore Ravens Linebackers Coach. In the early 1990's Ted Monachino was an offensive line coach and defensive coordinator for the Hannibal Pirates.

The 2013 edition of the St. Louis Cardinals Caravan will come through Hannibal on Saturday, January 19. The event will once again be at the Quality Inn and Suites, and will begin at noon.
