(Hannibal) – Two local fire departments have issued bans on the burning of household and landscape waste until further notice.

Both the Hannibal Fire Department and the Hannibal Rural Fire Protection District have issued burn bans, citing a lack of adequate rainfall, warmer temperatures and wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour. They say these conditions make burning potentially dangerous.
