A Quincy man accused of stealing from his employer made his first court appearance Thursday.

29 year old Joseph Scoggins is charged with one count of theft over $100,000.

Scoggins is alleged to have stolen over $100,000 from home décor wholesaler Melrose International, where he was a marketing manager. The theft allegedly took place over a two year period beginning in October of 2017.

Judge Debra Wellborn set bond for Scoggins at $25,000.
