QUINCY, Ill. (AP) — Thousands of bald eagles are getting ready to begin migrating along the Mississippi River in Illinois and Iowa. Tourism officials in the Quad Cities say the migration begins in mid-December and lasts through February. The birds are typically attracted to the area because nearby dams makes it easier for the birds to catch fish.
