Attempted Murder Charge

(NEW LONDON)—A northeast Missouri man is to be in court in Ralls County today on a charge of attempted murder.

Authorities say 51 year old Arnold Pargeon of Vandalia was arrested as the result of a domestic call Sunday night. Ralls County deputies say that as they arrived a woman was yelling for help in a Perry residence. Authorities say the victim’s injuries are what is prompting the attempted murder charge.

The victim was treated and released from the hospital. Bond for Pargeon is set at 500-thousand dollars cash only.
