Adams County Sheriff Warns of Social Security Phone Scam

The Adams County Sheriff’s Department wants to make the public aware of the latest phone scam making the rounds.

Law enforcement has received multiple reports of victims getting phone calls from someone claiming to be from the Social Security Administration.

The caller asks for important personal information, including banking information and social security numbers.

The caller also tells people that a warrant will be issued if certain information is not provided.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Department wants you to know that these calls are not from the Social Security Administration and they are a scam.
