2 Face Attempted Murder Charges Following Liberty Area Shooting

Two Quincy residents face attempted murder charges following a shots fired call northwest of Liberty.
Adams County Sheriff’s deputies were called at 10:16 p-m by a man who reported being shot at as he stood near his vehicle at his residence. The caller gave a suspect vehicle description and direction of travel to the 9-1-1 center. Deputies located the suspect vehicle speeding westbound on US 24 east of I-172. A traffic stop was conducted on I-172 at mile marker 18 where 28 year old Kayla L. Obert and 41 year old Gabriel Alvord were taken into custody.  Two firearms were recovered from the vehicle. Damage to the victim’s vehicle and shell casings were also located. Obert and Alvord were taken to the Adams County Jail. No injuries are reported.
