(UNDATED)---The recent outbreaks of deadly tornadoes are causing Missouris home insurance rates to increase. Rates have risen 5 percent in the past year,
based on analysis of insurers covering 80 percent of homes. The worst of Missouris tornadoes came last May when a twister destroyed much of the city of Joplin and killed 161 people.
