Northern Lights

I want to preface this by saying don't get your hopes way up, but there's a teeny tiny chance we'll be able to see the northern lights in the tri-state area this weekend.

If you're a fan of pretty things in the sky, pray that weather is clear this weekend. Due to recent solar flares, there's a real chance we'll see the Northern Lights viewable from our area Saturday night.

Thanks to a recent solar storm, the northern lights were seen further south than normal and that included parts of Iowa as a new video share revealed.
