The Missouri governor has issued an executive order activating the National Guard ahead of the dangerous winter storm this weekend.

The National Guard being deployed to Chicago, Illinois was mentioned in a news conference Monday.

It sounds like a plot for a major motion picture disaster movie, but it's a real scenario that has already been played out by the Missouri National Guard. What if Bagnell Dam failed? It would mean disaster downstream in less than 1 hour.

If you happened to be in the St. Louis, Missouri area earlier this week, you might have seen National Guard troops on the streets and wondered what was going on.
