The Quincy City Council approved spending a little over three million dollars for three infrastructure projects Monday night.

Seven locks and dams on the Mississippi and Illinois rivers are under consideration by President Donald Trump's administration in his stated push to make the nation's infrastructure "second to none."

Barge travel along the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers through northeast Missouri and western Illinois will benefit if the Trump administration has its way.
