Nearly all hope was lost for an Illinois clinic and food pantry as they had announced official plans to close. Now, almost miraculously, they've announced they will be able to keep the doors of their facilities open thanks to help in the 11th hour.

The United Way of the Mark Twain Area and its partners have once again brought home the bacon – and sausage and ham and pork chops – to area food pantries and senior centers.
