If you happened to be up early and outside Friday morning anywhere in or near Illinois, you likely saw a brilliant fireball that was reported by hundreds.

If you had your eyes looking toward the skies Friday night, you may have seen a spectacular fireball that was seen over 6 different states including Missouri and Illinois. There's video that shows how brilliant it was.

One of the most brilliant fireballs in recent memory exploded in the skies over the Midwest Saturday night with reports from hundreds in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. A doorbell security camera captured some video of the event.

There was a meteorite that appeared as a green fireball that was reported over 4 states including Illinois and also over parts of Canada.

The American Meteor Society website was on fire last night when a huge fireball was seen over seven states including Illinois, Missouri, and Iowa.

I can't recall a time where so many meteors have been seen over the tri-state area in such a short amount of time. Yet another fireball has lit up skies over Missouri, Iowa and Illinois as new video shows.

Once again our skies have been lit up by a meteor burning up in the atmosphere. Multiple videos show this space rock as it became a bright fireball.
