According to a release, the Hannibal Police Department made 290 felony narcotic arrests in 2016, which is up 30 percent compared to the 223 in 2015. Misdemeanor narcotic arrests are up 22 percent (430 in 2016 and 353 in 2015).

The Adams County Sheriff's Office and West Central Illinois Task Force responded to information that Karen Dromey, Kevin Dromey, and Emily Goodwin (all of Quincy) were involved in cannabis drug trafficking and conspiracy. The three were suspected of trafficking large quantities of cannabis from Colorado into Quincy and Northeast Missouri.

A Quincy man has been indicted by a grand jury after being charged with two counts of distribution of a controlled substance. Stefan K. Crider Jr., 41 is in the Adams County Jail following an October 31 instance in which he allegedly distributed more than five grams of methamphetamine.
