It looks like the weather pattern over Illinois is about to get excitable again. A new forecast says the incoming heat dome which will cause temperatures to spike into the 90's is expected to ignite a storm pattern that could even include derechos in parts of the Land of Lincoln.
It rarely happens, but every now and then the winds in Wisconsin get fierce which is exactly happened on a 4th of July many many years ago. It was on that day that parts of Wisconsin were slammed by the equivalent of category 3 hurricane-force winds.
Let's hope the robots are wrong. Artificial intelligence programs from universities are predicting tornadoes and derechos for Missouri and Illinois Tuesday. Some forecasters do agree.
