Another Friday, another list of things to do this weekend:

The 26th annual Mark Twain Lake Rodeo started last night and continues through Sunday at the Warren G. See South Spillway Area below Cannon Dam.

Also continuing through Sunday is the Bicentennial celebration in Warsaw, Illinois.

The Kaleidoscope exhibit at the Hannibal Arts Council starts today and runs through August 4.

There's a golf tournament for Down Country Kids at the American Legion Golf Course in Hannibal Saturday with an 8 a.m. tee time. Proceeds benefit education/training on disabilities and positive awareness in the area.

The Hannibal High School Booster Club sponsors the Sandy Plank Showdown, a sand volleyball tournament at Southside Recreation Area 1 starting at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The M.W. Boudreaux Memorial Visitors Center at Mark Twain Lake hosts a wood carving demonstration at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Spirit Knob Winery in Ursa, Illinois hosts a benefit for St. Jude Children's Hospital from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, featuring music by Raised on Radio.

The gospel group The Mercy's Bridge performs at Gramdma's Country Music Opry in Stoutsville at 7 p.m.

And, speaking of the Boudreaux Visitor's Center, they'll be open till 10 p.m. Saturday if you want to watch the fireworks display at the rodeo.

Next week, of course, all roads lead to Hannibal as National Tom Sawyer Days runs Monday through Sunday.
