I have become an unofficial watchman for the United States "Doomsday Plane". I feel it's my duty to inform you that it just flew over our head crossing both Missouri and Illinois today.

As I shared a couple weeks ago, the US "Doomsday Plane" recently flew over the Midwest returning from a weeklong overseas trip. It's been sitting at it's base in Nebraska grounded since then.

In case you don't know, the Boeing E-4 Advanced Airborne Command Post is called the "Doomsday Plane" because it's a command center that can be airborne in the event of a catastrophic attack or disaster in America.

Today, just out of curiosity I checked the Flight Aware website and sure enough the "Doomsday Plane" was over us at the same time I was looking.

As you can see on the map, it quite literally flew right over the Hannibal/Quincy area today. As I've said before, IT IS NO REASON FOR ALARM. That's ALL CAPS because I don't feel like I can emphasize it enough.

Since the "Doomsday Plane" is based in Nebraska, it's really not unusual for it to fly over us. That's one of the reasons I share this kind of stuff often because I have seen people share this news with dire implications. It's not.

I do find it interesting and please know this is NOT CLASSIFIED INFORMATION. I emphasize that because I would never share government or covert secrets. Matter of fact, you can follow the activities of the "Doomsday Plane" yourself on the Flight Aware website.
