VIDEO: Crazy Missouri Storm Chases Ends with Epic Double Rainbow
If you've ever been storm chasing, you know that you miss a lot more than you hit. Endless hours of driving sometimes result in very little excitement. That was not the case for a recent Missouri storm chase that started with a turbulent storm and ended in a spectacular double rainbow as video shows.
Here's the backstory that was just shared by TAOwens Tornadoes on YouTube:
"Occurred on September 24, 2024, Tuesday, I was chasing observed the development of a severe thunderstorm in Bedford Iowa, known as a supercell fired up in southwest Taylor County, Iowa. This storm was heading south towards through of Hopkins, Maryville, Rosendale, and Savannah, MO...This incredible display of a wall cloud structure tracking into Maryville, MO was one of the most impressive sights I have ever witnessed. The way the clouds formed and moved was mesmerizing, and it left a lasting impression on me. I am grateful to have captured this rare and stunning event through my imagination."
This was near the point when the storm system really began to become intense.
This was the end result of the chase. Epic double rainbow.
There's a lot more to this chase than just those two moments, so definitely check out the full experience. A nice capture of a very interesting storm that made its way through Missouri just a few weeks ago.
