It's safe to say that everyone enjoys a really nice meal every once in a while. If you want elegance to be a part of the atmosphere, that's gonna cost you. For Missouri's most expensive restaurant, you need to be prepared to spend a small fortune, but many say it's more than worth it.

Even though I've spent a decent amount of my life visiting friends in the Kansas City area, I've never eaten at this place. Part of the reason is I always wear denim jeans and am allergic to ties, but the bigger issue is the cost of the food there. Love Food says that Pierpont's in Kansas City's Union Station is the most expensive restaurant in Missouri.

How much does a meal at Pierpont's cost?

You know you're about to make a major investment when the menu at Pierpont's doesn't include prices. Love Food says that a 24-ounce ribeye was run you around $95 while a grand seafood tower will result in a $240 item on your bill. Shudder. The children's menu shows a $25 cost for kids 12 and under and includes 2 courses. That means the 4 kids in my house right now will all need to get summer jobs to help pay for this meal.

Nice things cost money and there's a reason why this Kansas City, Missouri restaurant has been around for so long. When you're called a "culinary jewel", you deserve to be paid for your elite work and they are.
