60s in Missouri—Then Snow Just 2 Days Later
As the old saying goes, if you don't like the weather in Missouri just wait 10 minutes. In this case, you'll need to wait around 48 hours from the time when the Show Me State has temperatures in the 60's until there's an almost certain chance of snow.
This became a topic for me today when my social media feed showed me a post by meteorologist Anthony Slaughter. It says computer models are showing a chance for snow sometime Saturday for Missouri.
I have learned that he's not wrong. The National Weather Service in St. Louis has this as their official forecast for northeastern Missouri as of today, February 17, 2026.
There you have it. As many of us have been enjoying fake Spring for a few days, Missouri says "hold my beverage" and drops snow on us no less than 2 days later. The good news for those of us who despise shovels is the high Saturday is still expected to be above freezing so this incoming snow shouldn't amount to much, but I'm afraid to claim victory just yet. All I'll admit is that it does look like snow of some sort will impact at least part of Missouri starting Saturday around noon and ending sometime later that day. We'll hopefully only be dealing with a dusting or a couple inches and not feet.
