It's been said about life that if you blink, you'll miss it. That's true for Missouri earthquakes, too, that happen all the time and rarely does anyone notice. That's exactly what happened in a tiny Missouri town on Thursday.

Have you ever been to (or more likely through) Marston, Missouri? It's a tiny town with a population of only 378 according to the last census. It's one of the many small communities in the Missouri bootheel that sits in the fulcrum of the New Madrid Seismic Zone's most dangerous area.

According to the USGS, Marston, Missouri just had 3 earthquakes today. Not a big deal, but do you know how many people noticed? Answer - ZERO.

One of the 3 quakes confirmed by the USGS today was a 2.3 which is nothing to sneeze at. Probably a handful of people did feel that tremor today, but didn't think anything about it. Why? Because they happen near Marston, Missouri all the time.

We all know what the New Madrid Seismic Zone is capable of, but folks in the Missouri bootheel like tiny Marston are used to these almost daily shakes. It's just a part of regular everyday life next to one of America's most seismically-active areas.
