There are very few pitchers in St. Louis Cardinals history that were better than him and now you can see inside the Ladue, Missouri mansion that he called home during his time on the mound and winning championships.

I will never forget when the St. Louis Cardinals signed Chris Carpenter in the early 2000's. I remember that he had just had elbow and shoulder surgery and was unable to pitch the first season, but once he was able to take the mound, he was legend. He won the Cy Young Award in 2005. Chris was vital in the Cardinals defeating the Tigers in the 2006 World Series. And, while David Freese is remembered as the hero of the 2011 World Championship season and rightfully so, the Cardinals would not have even reached the World Series without Chris Carpenter and his courageous performance against the Phillies in game 5. Chris Carpenter entered the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame in 2016.
From what I recall, this Ladue, Missouri mansion was sold by Chris after his playing career ended. I don't know where Chris Carpenter and his family live now and wouldn't share if I did for the sake of their privacy, but I thought this video was a neat way to look back at how a St. Louis Cardinals legend lived during the time when he played for us more than a decade ago.
