The weather experts are now finally in agreement that Missouri will get impacted by snow Saturday. The questions now are how much, where and when. I'll try to help answer with what I have learned.

First of all, I shared days ago the word that computer models showed potential snow over much of Missouri over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Now, the National Weather Service in St. Louis, Missouri is finally in agreement. Here's what they just shared about what most of Missouri can expect.

Where in Missouri will snow happen Saturday?

I found additional information about the incoming system from the NOAA Weather Prediction Center. It shows that nearly all of Missouri will see some kind of snow.

Most of the weather computer models I've seen recently show mid-Missouri being in the target area for the part of the state most likely to see the most snow. This COULD make travel to the Mizzou game on Saturday afternoon become iffy, but that's unclear right now.

The National Weather Service has just updated their map showing the most likely part of Missouri that will get snow, but they say this can still shift.

Something else to keep in mind are the ground temperatures. While the National Weather Service says that temperatures above ground will be cold enough for accumulation, I would imagine that ground temperatures still being somewhat warm might make ground accumulation less than it would be otherwise.

I haven't seen any estimated snow totals yet and the NWS isn't talking - yet. Models in recent days estimate some parts of Missouri COULD see as much as 4 inches, but there are many many uncertainties about this incoming weekend system. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
