Illinois Hard Rock Cafe to Close in March

If you asked me to pick locations in Illinois most likely to close in 2025, this place would not have been on my list. It is true and confirmed that a Hard Rock Cafe that's called Illinois home for 40 years is about to close its doors forever which means 55 will lose their jobs.

I first saw this WARN notice posted on the Illinois Work Net website. It says that the Hard Rock Cafe located at 63 W Ontario St in Chicago, Illinois will close it's doors at the end of March 2025. The notice to the state of Illinois says that 55 will lose their jobs as a result.

Eater Chicago confirmed that the Hard Rock Cafe there is closing at the end of March after first opening their doors way back in 1986. With a location in the heart of Chicago, what could go wrong? Well, I've seen Hard Rock Cafe Chicago listed among the biggest tourist traps in the Windy City, but selling souvenirs is not a crime last time I checked.

Let's hope the 55 whose livelihood depended on the Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago for their existence land on their feet. It's another eatery that has bitten the dust (or about to) in 2025 and we're barely 3 weeks in.
