It may or may not amount to much, but there's a better than average chance that the Hannibal and Quincy area will see its first measurable snowfall of the season over the next couple days.

The National Weather Service broke the snowy news on Twitter.

The prediction is that the amount of snow beginning Monday night and continuing into Tuesday will only add up to 1 or 2 inches depending on where you're located. It's worth mentioning that the National Weather Service predicted a dusting of snow for St. Louis over the weekend and the area woke up to around 6 inches. Here's hoping we don't experience that yet.

It would probably be a good idea to expect some challenging driving conditions Tuesday morning and if it doesn't happen, that's a bonus.
