Missouri Fishermen Spot Strange Light Over Lake

If you've ever been fishing in Missouri at night, you know that you can see some odd things sometimes. For two Missouri fishermen recently, their night at the lake turned bizarre when they saw a bright light that they thought was a star suddenly begin to rise and they have video to prove it.

I saw this newest report from Missouri on the National UFO Reporting Center site. According to the report that was just submitted, this close encounter happened at midnight on June 25, 2025 near Enough, Missouri. The lake they were on is in a remote heavily-wooded area of Iron County.

Here is a snippet of their exact eyewitness testimony:

"Me and a buddy was on the lake night fishing when my buddy pointed out a light in the sky that was (thought) to be a bright star in the western sky looking towards town we watched for a few minutes as it began to rise in the sky getting very bright as to show a reflection on the water"

You can watch the video they captured that's included in their official NUFORC report. If it were a light that didn't move, it would likely be explained away as a star or planet. The fact that the light kept rising until it disappeared into the night sky means it was something else entirely. That doesn't mean it is extraterrestrial in nature, but by definition it is an unidentified flying object.
