It might be awhile before I sleep again and I do not wish the same fate upon you, but I must share the story of a Missouri person who just shared a terrifying story. They moved into a new home (to them anyway) and learned it already had someone(s) living there - 20 brown recluse spiders.

I saw this perilous tale on the Missouri sub-Reddit today. It's self-explanatory and is pretty much the worst-case scenario ever - a home full of deadly brown recluse spiders.

The comments on the Missouri sub-Reddit have been surprisingly helpful. Many mentioned that brown recluse spiders in Missouri feed on other pests so if you reduce the number of crickets and cockroaches around your home, the spiders will go away with no food source.

As for me, there would be 2 options. Flamethrower or professional pest control company. For the sake of the home, I'd hope that I'd pick the 2nd option, but I make no promises. I've only encountered one brown recluse spider (that I know of) in my lifetime and it didn't end well for the spider (Sorry, not sorry PETA).

I have one friend who was bitten by a brown recluse in Missouri and he had health issues for months even after the skin necrosis went away. They are truly terrifying spiders and I feel sorry for this Missouri home owner. Here's hoping he/she can find an efficient and safe way to make the nightmare fuel bad spiders go away.
