10 Best Chicago, Illinois Public High Schools for 2025

There's a new ranking which has revealed the best of the best high schools in the Chicago, Illinois area for 2025 from one of the most prestigious publications in America.

I am perhaps not the best messenger for the best high schools in Chicago considering the fact that rumor has it I got my name wrong when taking the ACT's back in the mid-1980's. The good news is this is not my list, but the much more qualified US News and World Report.

Along with their comprehensive breakdown of all the high schools in America, they also shared the best educational places specifically in the Chicago Public School District.

How did US News and World Report rank these Chicago schools?

Their methodology looks at a lot of factors by "by summing their weighted scores across six indicators of school quality, then computing a single zero to 100 overall score reflective of a school's performance across these metrics". With that in mind, here are their top 10 for 2025 for Chicago.
