The United States 'Doomsday Plane' is flying over the Midwest including Illinois for the first time in weeks and that's actually good news.

To be clear, I don't have some classified government clearance to be alerted when the United States E-4B Nightwatch (aka "the Doomsday Plane") is in our airspace over Missouri and Illinois. It's public knowledge that's readily available on Flight Aware Radar. Here's the position that was reported as of this writing around 10:30am Central Time on Sunday, January 29, 2023.

UPDATE: Less than an hour later, the TITAN25 had flown over Illinois and was entering Iowa.

The Air Force E-4B Nightwatch appears to be returning to its headquarters which is at a base in Omaha, Nebraska. Over the past few weeks, it's flown from Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland to Ireland and Rammstein Air Force Base in Germany. The flight today is a welcome return home to the middle of America and not necessarily a sign that big and bad things are about to happen.

The Military Times was given a glimpse recently at some of the (not classified) internals of the E-4B Nightwatch. State of the art doesn't even begin to describe it.

It's manned by the best of the best intelligence officers and flight managers in the United States Air Force.

It's a flying command and control plane that can stay airborne as long as it wants to thanks to Air Force in-air refueling even if the world is going crazy on the ground.

The Flight Aware code for America's "Doomsday Plane" is TITAN25. While you won't be allowed to see its upcoming schedule for obvious reasons, it remains public knowledge that you can check out anytime if you're curious about the worst case scenario plane flying over your head.
