We are gearing up for peak tornado season in the Midwest (April–June), and these Missouri counties have seen their fair share of tornadoes.

After watching The Twister documentary on Netflix about the devastating 2011 Joplin tornado, I started wondering which Missouri counties have experienced the most.

The only time I came close to seeing or even being in a tornado was the one that hit Canton back in 2003. I missed it by 10 minutes.
