What I mean about almost original is that the Zambezi Zinger roller coast is a remake of a coaster that used to be in service. The old coaster was part of the Zambezi Adventure Safaris which went out of business just before the turn of the century. According to worldsoffun.com,

the Zinger was thought to have gone extinct. They recently reopened their doors after new evidence suggested the Zinger had returned to the area. The company now takes guests on thrilling excursions to explore these famously hallowed woodlands so travelers may once again experience the legend of the Zinger!

This new coaster called Zambezi Zinger takes everything that was good with the old and adds much more. You can expect modern side-by-side train cars, the track is built on a new Titan steel and wood frame, the Zongers stands 74 feet high at its tallest point, and there are new safari themes throughout the ride.

The Zambezi Zinger is slated to open in 2023. I am not a big coaster rider, but Worlds of Fun holds a bit of my heart it was the first place where I rode my first coaster at 18. So, I may have to go back and eminence a little a try the new coaster when it opens this year.
