It's hard to name the "best of" and the "worst of" in every state. One person's opinion doesn't reflect a whole nation. So when the list came out for "The Ugliest Cities in Every State," it had me scratching my head as to why.

Being an expert on anything is a job that I don't think I will ever want. How does my opinion matter to an entire nation? So, when this Missouri city was named the ugliest I was glad it wasn't me who put this city on the list. So, what do the experts think?

If you said St. Louis then kudos to you!

In my opinion, I couldn't believe it. Yes, are there places in St. Louis that aren't the prettiest to look at sure? However, you have a city with the Best Zoo in America, Botanical Gardens that is nationally recognized, Forest Park which is beautiful to have a picnic in, and a thriving downtown where people are working hard to make it a better family-friendly attraction. So why is St. Louis on the list? Well according to travel.alot.com,

Unless you're a huge fan of the Cardinals or the giant Arch, St. Louis might not be the city for you--it's not the prettiest place in the world. It's a city with tons of history, but it's also, unfortunately, a city with tons of crime, which has led to some portions of the city turning into run-down dumps.

No matter your opinion whether you think St. Louis is pretty or not, it's always fun to visit and experience everything St. Louis has to offer. And yes, there are places that aren't the best, but just avoid those and go somewhere else.
