One of the best fall road trips in Missouri is also one of the most historic in the state.

Thrillest just put out their list of the most scenic drives in every state and for Missouri Highway 19 is that road. It shows off the only bands of wild horses in the midwest, Hermann, and what seems to be the best soft-serve ice cream.

Take a Drive on Highway 19

Running North to South from Thayer and New London this highway does take you to some of the most beautiful places in the Show-Me State. Highway 19 is a North-South route extending between Thayer and New London. Follow it and you get a taste of American history and the land we created it on.

It seems when lists like this come out somehow Route 66 is on the list, don't get me wrong it's a great highway and piece of history, but it's nice to see another highway getting some love. Missouri has so many beautiful roads and highways and this one (which I have been on) is a fun one to drive on.

This road also takes you through the gorgeous views of the Ozarks and this time of year I am sure several locations are stunning with fall colors and nature.
