Missouri vs The World! PBR to Get Rough in Show Me State
Thursday night April 24th at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, PBR Knockout will feature both Missouri teams; Missouri Thunder and Kansas City Outlaws will take on the rest of the league.
Teams is an interesting concept for bull riding that began in 2022 with multiple members per team efforting to rack up more points than their opponent. Yes, there are playoffs at the end of the season. Those are held in Las Vegas, NV.
The Kansas City Outlaws are the defending teams PBR champions, and the Missouri Thunder are based out of Springfield, Mo.
Individually Dalton Kasel has jumped out to a hot start to the season winning three events already. Kasel is a member of the Austin Gamblers team.
Bull Riding has been a popular event in Missouri going back to the American Royal in Kansas City. Kansas City having a PBR team then is a natural, but bull riding is big enough in the Show Me State that a second team was added in Springfield called the Missouri Thunder..
The PBR tour itself stops in Kansas City twice this year. April 29-31, then as part of the Show-Me Showdown. A home and home feature between the Missouri Thunder and Kansas City Outlaws in Springfield, Mo. Aug 29-31 and then a few weeks later in Kansas City Oct 2-4. The final stop in Missouri for the PBR in 2025 is in St. Louis Dec 6-7.
