Of all the iconic landmarks in Illinois, experts claim this one is the most stunning. But honestly... it's just okay.

Cloud Gate

Cloud Gate, better known as "The Bean," is beautiful, sure. It's a shiny, reflective piece of art in Millennium Park, Chicago, where you can snap some cool photos of the skyline. But would I call it one of the most stunning in the nation? Not really. There are plenty of places in Illinois that give "The Bean" a run for its money.

Such as Illinois Beach State Park in Zion, no matter the time of year this place is gorgeous. How about Anderson Japanese Gardens in Rockford, or Shawnee National Forest all stunning attractions in Illinois? I would put any of these over "The Bean".

Love Exploring experts say it creates a particularly striking image against the backdrop of some of the city’s famous buildings, while its mirrored surface captures the skyline beautifully.

Listen, I'm not saying "The Bean" is not a stunning landmark to visit and take a fun selfie, but of everything Illinois has from parks to stunning gardens, and other iconic landmarks there are more (in my opinion) places to consider that are not in Chicago.
