A website called Lawnstarter.com just came out with a list of the best cities to live in in the United States without a car. The list is the top 200 most populated cities in America ranked from 1st to last based on how easy it is to live in those cities without a car.

There are ZERO cities from Missouri in the top 100 of the list... The number 1 city is San Fransisco, followed by Boston, Washington DC, and New York City, and the highest ranking city in Missouri is Springfield at 123. On the site they say...

"We compared the 200 biggest U.S. cities based on 19 indicators of car-free-friendliness. We measured each city’s walkability, transit ridership, climate, and pedestrian safety, among other factors."

St. Louis makes the list at 134th, and Kansas City comes in at 174th. To see the full list of cities where it is easy to live without a car click here!

I lived in Chicago for 5 years and didn't have a car for the majority of the time I lived there because you really don't need one, with Uber, taxi cabs, busses, and trains, there is really no need for a car unless you are making a ton of trips out of town. But clearly, Missouri is a state you need a car, St. Louis and Kansas City are both so spread out that it just makes sense to have a car.
