According to an article from kansascity.com, Hate Crimes have reached an all-time high in Missouri. In the article they say...

"FBI hate crime data released this week shows that Missouri reported its highest ever number of hate crimes in 2021, the most recent year for which data is available. The article goes on to mention that Kansas City is the main culprit of these dramatic hate crime numbers, they had a reported 39 hate crimes compared to St. Louis which only had 9. So why the dramatic rise? The article claims that the FBI attributes these historic numbers to racial bias. My opinion is that there is just so much pent-up frustration in people right now of all races, you see skyrocketing inflation, distrust in the government in the post covid world, and social media is just bringing out the worst in too many people. All I know is that this is something the state of Missouri needs to look at course correcting and fast! What do you think is behind the dramatic rise in hate crimes in the Show-Me State?
