Winterfest is back in downtown St. Louis, Winterfest is an annual event in Kiener Plaza (which is right in the heart of downtown St. Louis), and it all starts this weekend! According to stlmag.com...

"It’s the seventh year in downtown park for the festival, which runs weekends (4–8 p.m. Fridays, noon–8 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays) from November 19–January 1. Visitors can ice skate in the glow of 70,000 lights, rent heated igloos, roast s’mores, and enjoy treats from the Winterfest Café, as well as shop at the Winter Market. Superheroes, princesses, and the St. Louis Blues join in the fun, too."

Stlmag.com goes on to mention some of the other events that are associated with Winterfest, events that include the Winterfest 5K, the Holiday Lights, the Market, and more! Click here to learn all about what Winterfest has to offer for you and your family this holiday season!

I love these holiday festivals that happen in cities across the country. Being outside in the cold sucks, but if you give me a chance to ice skate, buy some holiday-themed beverages, shop, and eat some food along the way, it really is not too bad! I have never been to Winterfest but I certainly will put it on the list of must-do events this holiday season, and I might even have to catch a Blues game while I'm down there, if my Blackhawks are in town.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
