Disc Golf Pro Tour Comes to Missouri for the First Time in 2025
Disc golfing has been around for decades, but in the last 10-15 years it has really caught on with courses popping up in most every city and town, a professional league forming and touring the country (and Europe too). Now, for the first time the DGPT is holding an event in Missouri.
Disc golf’s top tour will be stopping in Liberty, Mo. April 18th the 20th at Bad Rock Creek with both men (MPO) and women (FPO) playing three rounds. With top players from around the world competing.
Missouri has over 300 disc golf courses, and over half of those are a full 18 holes, with the Show-me state rated as the 12th best state for disc golf playing. There are over 100 disc golf clubs in Missouri scattered across the state and always looking for new members and enthusiasts.
Should you happen to be a member of a disc golf group in the Kansas City area maybe you’ll be asked to help out with the event. One of the things that pro disc golf does well is put its top players is close proximity to fans and local players.

I have followed the tour online for years, watching the weekly events unfold each day. I have a disc golf game app on my phone (disc golf valley) and some of my friends are in local groups and play in local and regional tournaments in Illinois and Missouri. It’s exciting to know that the elite players on the pro tour will be stalking Liberty, Mo. next month. Missouri’s inclusion into the pro-tour schedule has been long overdue. Iowa, Illinois, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Kansas and Arkansas have all hosted events. This year Missouri will get to Show-em’.
